SALVAGED AND RECYCLED PLASTIC WORKSHOPS

My concern about the shocking waste of potential resources has motivated me to develop a range of innovative and exciting workshops using salvaged and recycled plastic packaging. These freely available, brightly coloured opaque and jewel-like transparent materials lend themselves to any number of imaginative projects appropriate to any age group from early years to elders. A range of approaches is possible from individually made free-standing sculptures to groups working to produce murals, relief panels and suspended mobiles. Schools that have participated in salvaged plastic workshops include Northampton High School at Hardingstone, Lilycroft Nursery and Brackenhill Primary School in Bradford and Halfpenny Lane Primary School in Pontefract.
