Its Autumn and these Long-tailed Tits are foraging in a Hawthorn tree where the leaves are turning gold and pale green. Tiny, agile birds they are often seen in small flocks moving rapidly from tree to tree, always in constant motion and chattering to each other.
 
These birds are such fun to watch and their tails are so conspicuously long. With their black and white plumage enhanced by some gentle pink detailing who wouldn't love to have long tailed tits visit their home.
 
This original long tailed tits woodcut by Angie Rogers, is hand printed with oil based  ink from 2 blocks
and additional colour is applied by hand using lightfast pigment.
 
The image is printed on natural white Fabriano Artistico hot-pressed watercolour paper which is a lovely pale cream colour and smooth.
 
A limited edition of 75, this is a variable edition where a different colour background is sometimes used.  The current available prints all have a pale buff background colour as shown in the photographs.
 
A completely hand made artwork with natural slight variations in printing and hand colouring. No print is identical to another making each one a unique item
