The tree-lined road along from Hebden Bridge winds gradually down to the National Trust's Hardcastle Crags, a beautiful wooded valley and local beauty spot.

On summer afternoons the sun casts a gently glowing pattern of light and dappled shadows of the interwoven branches and leaves on to the road.

One afternoon as I walked along I was especially taken with the mood of mellow warmth and shelter and made some sketches and photographs of the scene which later inspired a large drawing in willow charcoal on rough textured watercolour paper.

Printed on beautiful Somerset Velvet 100% cotton fine art paper by St Cuthberts Mill with archival inks, this Giclée Print is a reproduction of the original charcoal drawing and is signed in pencil in the lower margin. It is an open edition.

Size with mount is 30 cm x 30 cm
Printed image is 17.5 cm x 17.5 cm

The print is from an open edition and is supplied unframed with an off-white mount, ready for framing.

Black and white art looks equally good in modern or traditionally decorated rooms and it suits a variety of frames depending on the impression you want to make.  If you purchase a print from me
I am always happy to advise about framing options, so feel free to get in touch through the Contact page.
