This detailed Woodcut and linocut collage depicts a Common Sandpiper, a small wading bird, flying over Widdop reservoir, a remote body of water up in the South Pennines of Yorkshire. Sandpipers fly very fast and low over the water making a rapid piping call. You can also see them searching for food at the waters edge.
