One of a series of Yorskshire landscapes created to celebrate the unique atmosphere of Upper Calderdale. Storm Approaching Swiftly features a distant Heptonstall Church tower as seen from across the valley on the steep narrow road that descends down to Hebden Bridge from the small settlement called Horsehold .

You can really get a sense of the power of nature and the volume of approaching wet weather in this artwork. Storms often quickly sweep in, dump their rain and then move on, leaving a misty, refreshed feeling behind.  I always enjoy watching rapidly moving rain clouds, they are so dramatic and inspire me to start drawing.

Printed on beautiful fine art paper with archival pigment inks this giclée print is a reproduction of the original charcoal drawing.
