Storm Approaching Swiftly features a distant Heptonstall Church tower as seen from across the valley on the steep narrow road that descends down to Hebden Bridge from the small settlement called Horsehold .
 
You can really get a sense of the power of nature and the volume of approaching wet weather in this artwork. Storms often quickly sweep in, dump their rain and then move on, leaving a misty, refreshed feeling behind.  I always enjoy watching rapidly moving rain clouds, they are so dramatic and inspire me to start drawing.
